Mike Staed - President
Mike Staed is the Vice President, Sales and Marketing for NARS, a St. Louis based business process outsourcing firm providing customer contact management services to major U.S. firms. Prior to joining NARS, Mike served as Vice President for a major St. Louis flooring company, was an executive vice president for a national outsourcing services company, and served as a partner with the consulting division of Ernst & Young LLP with roles ranging from managing sales and marketing groups to general management. Mike's involvement with Stella Maris began as a supporter and then co-chair for a fund raising event prior to serving on the board of directors.
Cathy Buehrle
Cathy is a St. Louis native with an extensive background in child care as she started her work with children as a service project at a local children's home while a junior in high school at Urusline Academy. She worked ten years in Cape Girardeau at Cottonwood Children's Treatment Center as a Child Psychiatric Care Supervisor. When she moved back to St Louis, she worked for six years as an Adolescent Substance Abuse Counselor and residential home supervisor at Preferred Family Healthcare. She is currently a Client Services Liaison with National Asset Recovery Services, Inc. Although she no longer works in the social services field, her love and passion for supporting the well-being, safety, and future happiness of all children does not waiver.
Dr. Brian Till - Vice President
Brian is an Associate Professor of Marketing and Chair of the Marketing Department at Saint Louis University. He holds a bachelor of science degree in advertising and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. His Ph.D. is from the University of South Carolina. At Saint Louis University he teaches marketing strategy and advertising courses to both graduate and undergraduate students. His research is in the areas of celebrity endorsements, classical conditioning and brand equity. Prior to his teaching career, Brian worked in brand management at Ralston Purina. He continues to serve as a marketing strategy and advertising consultant. Brian was the immediate past board president for Stella Maris.
Duana C. Russell-Thomas - Secretary
Duana is Adjunct Professor at Sanford Brown Occupational Assistant Program and practicing OT professional. She has a B.S. in Psychology and a M.S. in Occupational Therapy from Washington University. She is the mother of 2 children who have all graduated from Stella Maris Child Center and 1 who is currently enrolled.
Heather Allman
Heather strongly believes that every child should have access to a first-class education and a strong support system. These elements help provide the foundation for healthy, happy and productive lives. Heather is an attorney with licenses to practice in both Missouri and Illinois. She received an MBA with an emphasis in Marketing, a Juris Doctorate, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology from St. Louis University.
Marian Brickner
Marian was born in New York and is a professional photographer.
Princella Goodrich
Princella is an assistant principal in the St Louis Public Schools, with a master’s degree in Elementary Education Administration. She has worked in education for 20 years, including nine years in special education. A strong supporter of urban education and is married with two children. Princella's daughter attended her early years at Stella Maris and returns for Star Camp each summer.
Harolyn Harris
Ms. Harolyn P. Harris was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She is the second of four children. She attended the St. Louis Public Schools and graduated from Soldan High School.
After high school, she attended Northwest Missouri State University. She received a Bachelor of Science in Education and became a high school teacher in the St. Louis Public Schools. She later received a Master of Arts from Webster University and an Educational Specialist degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. During her tenure, Ms. Harris met Mr. Ivory F. Lofton who became her mentor. He saw leadership potential in her and encouraged her to become an administrator. She followed his advice and enrolled in St. Louis University to attain administrative certification.
Ms. Harris has served as a middle school instructional coordinator, high school assistant principal, interim principal (elementary and secondary), middle school principal, and district coordinator. Her educational philosophy is: “All children want to learn. They want a clean, safe, nurturing environment in order to achieve to their full potential.”
Ms. Harris has a love of children which translates to her volunteer efforts. She is also an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Ms. Harris is the mother of three adult children. Her hobbies include reading and traveling.
Donna Robinson
Donna L. Robinson, Human Resources Manager for Family Resource Center, a non-profit social agency committed to strengthening families through family-centered therapeutic, educational and support services.
Donna is a versatile and results-oriented Human Resource professional with corporate experience in a wide array of leadership roles in HR, national advocacy, diversity and work life. Donna has a strategic and operational background, demonstrates a collaborative approach focused on effectively linking staff and organizational goals; managing talent and shaping Agency culture through improvements in HR systems and practices. She has had positions in recruitment and benefits administration at Price Waterhouse Coopers. She also had a 20 year career at Ascension Health (formerly Daughters of Charity National Health System) from Compliance Specialist to Director of Human Resources and Director of Worklife.
Donna holds a Bachelors of Arts in Business with an emphasis in Human Resource Management from
Webster University. She is currently working on her Master's in Management.
Anthony Thomas
Anthony is a Computer Analyst with Enterprise Rent-A-Car and past Treasurer of Stella Maris Board.
He is the father of two children who graduated from Stella Maris Child Center, and has one child
who is currently enrolled. Anthony is also a gradutate of Stella Maris Child Center.
