Early HeadStart programming is for children aged 6 weeks to 2.5 years of age; HeadStart services are for children aged 3 to 5.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>Parents as Teachers in the Child Care Setting – Families enrolled at Stella Maris can take advantage of Parents as Teachers, a nationally acclaimed parent education and early childhood development program. Parent educators meet with the parents of children enrolled at Stella Maris to discuss child development and provide regular screenings at no charge. </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>M.A.D.E. – Men making A Difference Everyday -- Offered by Stella Maris in conjunction with the YWCA, this program is designed to encourage adult males to become involved in their families’ lives. Male role models directly support and enhance the lives of the children we serve.
